Patricia is a 32 year old mother of a beautiful three year old girl. Before she became pregnant, Patricia had difficulty maintaining a healthy weight. During her pregnancy she gained about 75 pounds, and continued to gain even after her delivery. When her daughter turned six months, Patricia had this epiphany, "I won't be there to see my daughter grow up, and I won't be the Mom I want to be." That was a pivotal point in her life and at that point, she wholeheartedly committed to a dramatic lifestyle change. Patricia adopted a healthy diet and exercised daily, and over the following 18 months lost 225 pounds.

The change in her energy and outlook dramatically improved. However, she felt worse in her body than when she was overweight. "The skin was just awful. It rubbed, got in the way, and prevented me from doing the things I wanted," Patricia said. She found Dr. Kaufman from a referral from a friend for whom he had previously provided similar care. Two surgeries later, Patricia was a new woman. The extra skin from the arms, breasts, midsection and legs was removed and her body was contoured into the beautiful figure seen below. Her happiness and self confidence has skyrocketed and she is now the Mom she's dreamed of being.

Kaufman & Clark Plastic Surgery has the good fortune to welcome to Silvia Carly as the Patient Care Coordinator. Silvia has a tremendous amount of experience in the field of aesthetic medicine and is a warm, compassionate counselor.

Silvia is a California native, born to first generation Italian parents (she is fluent in the beautiful language of Italian). Silvia lives in the city of El Dorado and spends her spare time with her husband of 24 years, Dennis. Silvia and Dennis are the proud parents of two lovely daughters. If she's not in the office, you might find her galloping off into the sunset on her horse Rocky, a Tennessee Walker.
