Vectra 3D Imaging Changes the Way Patients Explore Plastic Surgery

Vectra 3D Imaging Changes the Way Patients Explore Plastic Surgery

Moving beyond traditional photography, plastic surgeons are no longer limited to only providing surgical patients their “before and after” pictures at their six-month post-operative visits. We will soon offer Vectra 3D imaging technology during consultations to illustrate the results that surgery can achieve. We’ve found that Vectra offers patients at least two big advantages: better communication with the doctor, and increased comfort about choosing a cosmetic procedure.

Benefits of 3D Imaging for the Patient

Vectra 3D imaging eliminates the guesswork about what you’ll look like after cosmetic surgery. Our patients don’t have to worry that the result they envision may not look quite right once it’s achieved. Instead, along with their surgeon, our patients are able to utilize 3D imaging to experiment with different looks and find the one that specifically achieves their desired changes before making a final decision.

3 Reasons Women Love Breast Lifts

3 Reasons Women Love Breast Lifts

An increasing number of women are finding that a breast lift can be ideal for enhancing their curves, without the need for breast implants.

1. All-Natural Solution
Unlike breast augmentation, which uses breast implants, a breast lift on its own only uses a woman’s existing natural breast tissue. While a lift won’t change the size of your breasts, your breasts will look perkier and shapelier after lifting and repositioning your existing tissue.

2. No Long-Term Maintenance
Although breast implants can last a long time, they’re not designed to be lifetime devices, and generally will need to be replaced or removed at some point. A breast lift offers women peace of mind knowing that they can enjoy their new look without worrying about when it’s time for new implants.

Can a Tummy Tuck Keep You Healthier after Weight Loss?

Can a Tummy Tuck Keep You Healthier after Weight Loss?

Body contouring surgery following significant weight loss is deemed elective and isn’t covered by most insurance plans, which leaves many gastric bypass patients with a significant amount of extra skin following their post-surgery weight loss. A recent study challenges the notion that post-weight loss body contouring surgeries aren’t essential by proving they significantly increase a patient’s long term weight loss and, therefore, overall health.

The Results of the Study
In the study, researchers looked at the post-surgical weight management of gastric bypass patients who underwent tummy tucks and other body contouring procedures compared to gastric bypass patients who didn’t receive cosmetic surgery. The results convincingly showed that patients who pursued cosmetic procedures were much more successful at not regaining weight during the two years following their weight loss surgery.
