At Kaufman Plastic Surgery, we know everyone feels inspired to turn over a new leaf at some point in their lives. For some men and women, this means choosing cosmetic surgery to enhance the body or rejuvenate an area where Mother Nature has taken its toll.
Our philosophy about plastic surgery is that we can achieve the best results by listening carefully to your goals and applying our team approach to helping you reach them. Dr. David Kaufman and our team of nurses and aestheticians at Kaufman Plastic Surgery provide a full array of surgical, laser and non-surgical treatments.
A significant portion of our practice is devoted to the plastic surgery needs of post-weight loss patients. We feel honored to participate in the life-changing journey these men and women undertake, and we support them in every way we can. To that end, we maintain a website devoted to the weight loss community: www.afterobesity.com. We invite you to visit and browse. There you’ll discover inspiring real patient stories, information on surgical readiness, popular procedure details, advice on choosing a surgeon and much more.
Visiting Our Practice
When you contact our office to make an appointment, our receptionist will ask for some basic information – specifically your name, contact information and your area of aesthetic concern. If you would like some information in advance, materials can be sent to you immediately in order to make the consultation as valuable as possible.
When you arrive at the office for your appointment, you will be asked to fill out a form to supply basic demographic information and medical information. We encourage you to bring a spouse or friend to any appointment at our office.
Once you have filled out your informational forms, we will privately discuss your aesthetic concerns in a comfortable patient consultation room. A basic examination is required, after which we can determine a plan for your surgery. During the consultation, feel free to ask any questions you may have. More than one consultation may be necessary if you are unsure of anything or if you need more time to consider your options.
A fee quote detailing the costs of the procedure will be provided prior to your departure from the consultation. When you elect to schedule your procedure, a non-refundable 10 percent fee is collected and a surgery date is scheduled. Full payment is required two weeks in advance. Also two weeks prior to your surgery date, a pre-operative exam is conducted and the appropriate documentation for surgery is completed.
Throughout your recovery period (the length of which depends on your surgery), we will meet periodically to examine your results. We offer our full support during this period of healing, and you are welcome to schedule an appointment at any time to discuss your post-surgery concerns.
Finally, we would like to offer you our absolute assurance that all information during consultations remains confidential. We know that plastic surgery can be a difficult decision, and we offer our lasting commitment to your privacy.
