When preparing for your mommy makeover, you likely have all the usual boxes checked: prescriptions, healthy meals, compression garments and the like. But there might be a few extra things you may need before your mommy makeover to help make your recovery as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
-
Cozy Recliner or Boppy Pillow
Most women who get a mommy makeover find that it’s easiest and most comfortable to sleep in a reclining chair for the first few days or weeks after their procedures. If you don’t already have a comfortable recliner, you might consider purchasing or renting one now so you know you’ll have a cozy place to retreat to while recovering.
Additionally, you might also want to pick up a Boppy pillow (or something similar) if you are planning on including a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in your mommy makeover. These pillows have a hollow center so that you can sit comfortably without putting pressure on your buttocks after body contouring surgery.
-
Flexible Drinking Straws
Sitting upright can be a challenge in the early stages of your mommy makeover recovery. Having flexible drinking straws on hand can help you stay hydrated without struggling to sit up every time you feel thirsty.
Drinking plenty of liquid after your mommy makeover will help your body to heal more efficiently and can help to relieve constipation.
-
A Peaceful and Prepared Environment
Your mommy makeover recovery will include a lot of rest and downtime. Therefore, it is imperative that you create (before your surgery) an environment for yourself that is in a quiet part of your home and includes books, magazines, movies, any necessary electronics, blankets, pillows, and a side table for refreshments. Whatever you may need to relax comfortably while you recover, make sure to have it.
